CRX with sohc ZC head stock!?
I was at the junkyard getting parts for my Civic and I was looking at engine heads d16 heads really. So I came across a CRX Si with I rubbed the grease off of the head and it read ZC, I took a step back and thought...someone must have replaced the head. Although the car had absolutely NO mods done, it was very curious. I am sure it was an 89 Si. Anyone ever seen this? I was very tempted to take that head and swap it into my car because the odometer only read 165,000. Also can the z6 heads vtec work on a d15 motor (given you have a vtec ECU)?

yes it's called minime here you go http://crx.honda-perf.org/articles/z6swap/z6swap.html.
don't reccomend unless both bottom block and top block have under 50k miles, 75 if you wanna stretch it, however i've done a lot of thinkinng about it and i've decided to go w/ a b16a or a dohc zc, they are the only worth while performance mods the lower block isn't built for the higher compression generated by vtec and you would be significantly decreasing the reliability by doing a minime swap however if you decided to overhaul the engine first than i would say go for it man, but you do know that you will need mpfi first. and you will need it no matter what you swap into your rex.
