HP in 99 Ls automatic?

I know you guys prob see these kind of questions all the time and prob get tired of awnsering them... i searched the boards to see if was already asked and it didnt seem to be so here i go....

I have a 99 Ls teg with a pretty much stock eng.. all i got so far CIA and greddy cat back exhaust system... spent alot of money on body kit/paint/rims/ ect... i know ricer shit.. heh...

Now my question is what is the way i should go to max my HP in the end... Money is no option... i came into some $$.. dont ask... I was just wondering... should i go turbo or just build up the eng... this will also be a daily driver so i dont know if turbo is the way to go.. Keep in mind this is an automatic(ughhh i know..heh.)

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thumbs up

yo whats up man... yea if ur drivin ur car alot like
mine u prob dun wanna go turbo esp if u have high miles... anyways ive got so far a aem cai, greddy evo cat back and saw small gains... anways u can def boost ur car decent goin all motor as long as ur not tryin to beat vettes and shit. im goin all motor and i then went out and got greddy 4-2-1 headers... of all the headers ive ever tried they have been the best. i noticed significant gains. id say at least 10 hp from
the headers compared to maybe 5 between my exhaust and intake together. next i am goin w/ a performance chip and new throttle body. ill let u kno how it works. ur car does sound a lot liek mine tho.. an all motor auto ls. i have heard from friends taht w/ teh right parts u can get an ls to run 14.8 w/ cat back, cai, new plugs and wires, headers, throttle body, and a good chip. thats pretty damn good too for an all motor ricer... itd be a w/ a few tenths of a mustang gt in the 1/4
be careful w/ a chip tho.. make sure u but a good one and not some shitty one off ebay. using teh right one is def important so u dont sacrifice any reliability and mess up ur drivetrain. iight man gl.. and other questions just ask. lata

Re: HP in 99 Ls automatic?

Since you want horsepower i would get an h22, my uncle has one its nice for a daily driver, i see a lot of people saying get a k20, but i havent seen it in someones car as a daily driver, don't know a whole lot about it. If u wanna buy a turbo and you drive the car eveyday i wouldnt get one that can use 20 pounds, i had a civic with a turbo that i drove everyday that only used 11 pounds, it worked great every day.

Re: HP in 99 Ls automatic?

gsr is faster than ls...so if u put turbo in both cars then the gsr will still be faster....common sense

Re: HP in 99 Ls automatic?

The compression isn't a speed issue, it's a saftey issue. For the most part, powered by acura is correct.
