License Plate

I recently got a ticket for not having my front license plate being mounted on my 2002 Celica. I have a replica Veilside body kit and have heard that drilling holes through the fiberglass bumper to mount the plate could cause the bumper to crack. Is this true? And if it is, where can I get some sort of mount for the plate?

If the fiberglass cracks then you just bought a cheaply made body kit...but to make things "safe" go out and buy some fiberglass (The stuff you can apply yourself) and apply it to the part that you will be drilling (just a little bit) then let that dry. After about a day of drying then drill your holes in. If it was going to crack before, the extra fiberglass should hold it together. Just use a power drill, a good bit, and dont try to do it too fast or put too much pressure on it (then your just asking for it to crack).
