how to get the wheels off?

how do i get the wheels off a model?ive tried unscrewing the bottom,but that didnt get them off,do i just pull them?the model is a 1:18 muscle machines skyline

If you pull them they will come of BUT the disc brake is going to break out the car. what are you tring to do change paint or what?
