Question 1996 olds keyless remote programing

I need help in programming a keyless remote for a 1996 old cutlass cierra. anyone have any ideas or how to do this? any help would be greatly appreciated...email if you can. thanks

Open Trunk Lid
Remove Carpet on Left side wheel well
Find Green Plastic wire connector with nothing in it
Short these two pins with a slot screwdriver
Door locks will click, trunk servo will click
Press any button on the remote
Pull screwdriver from Plastic wire connector
Remote should work
