996 engine cover plate
Hi,
My first post so be gentle please... Do any of you have information good or bad about an engine cover plate I should buy for my '02 996 coupe? I ran over some piece of road garbage today and the sound it made ....well let's just say it made me think about installing an engine cove plate. Are there better and worse ones? Do they do any damage at all i.e. keeping air away from the engine (what do I know)? Is the oem Porsce part better than any aftermarket plates you can reccomend? What are prices like? Thank you so very much!!!

those engines are sensitive. i would go with the factory engine cover. which ever way you decide get a cover under there quickly as you dont want to damage the engine from bottoming out.
