will a6 head wok on a d15

I was trying to figure out a way to get my crx running. the guy who had it before me said he put a new head on it from the junkyard. he said that the guy at the junkyard couldn't find that engine in any crx he had but it match one in an accord. i need to find the engine code on the engine and check it cause this all sounds like a load of crap to me. but i was thinking if it just has the wrong head on it could i put the a6 head on it and do the mpfi swap. which timeing belt would i need to do this.

You have the engine code in your topic "d15" In a 93 I believe it is the "D15b7" but that makes not difference. Yes, any D series sohc head will work on your engine. I have a D16a6 head that I'll sell to you for 50 bucks plus shipping, if you want it. All I have is the head though, nothing else.

So are you saying that the guy who had it before you put an accord head on it? I don't know of any accord head that is d-series?!? If I were you, and I'm not you, I would just find a sohc ZC or someone selling a d16a6 complete engine and throw it in the car. You can find a6's all day long for like 200-300 bucks, depending on where you live or where you look.

accord head will not fit. accords had a20a/f22a/f22b

no d series.

Any D series SOHC Head will work, just a suggestion, but if you can get a D16Y7 head for cheap, they have bigger valves than a d16a6/d15b2 head.

ok i went to double check the car today its a d15b2 and its in a 90 crx. the only number i could find on the head is pm3-5 or something like that. i think ill just junk the idea of getting it to run with the d15 and do a swap or something. thanks guys.
