Has anyone ever installed a cold air intake in a 94 accord? I have a 4 dr EX and can't figure out what the extra unit that goes off the main intake is all about?

No, no one has ever installed one
![]() *laughs*, just picking, anyhow, moving right along... what unit are you talking about? There is the stuff that runs over the valve cover and such, and then there is also the resonator at the fender well.. IF you're talking about that, just remove it, cap off any vacuum lines that go ot it, and tape over the electrical connector for good measure - Nathan |

92lx - about the cold air intake reply
The unit I was refering to earlier is located behind the actual air filter. The tube going into my engine has another tube going out from underneath and into a smaller box that sits behing the air filter. If I block that off or just completely take it out will it affect my engine performance?

If it's what I'm thinking of, then no, it won't effect it, and the box should be removed as well.

No Prob
Hey,
I have a 95... found that same box when I installed my intake and it scared the shit out of me... until I started my car and it ran great, and left it open and 5 months later it is still running perfectly. So no worries just leave it... make sure you have a home for the vaccuum tubes and run with it. |
