I own a '95 Corolla Dx. My e-brake froze last winter and the light won't come off now . The cable seems ok, and I can still use my e-brake. Besides the back brakes being worn down and the light not turning off, its ok. Does anyone have any ideas on how to check the e-brake system.

umm, pull the plastic's off around the brake handle and you should find a switch with one wire onit, when its earthed the brake light should go on

Re: e-brake light/system
check your brake fluid level as well, if its low this will also leave your e-brake light on all the time
