ok, I got my new(to me) teg today, its a 94 sedan, the pic isnt one I took but it is what was in the ad, anyways a unfortunate incident came up and I am in the market for a new bumper .

I was going to get a custom one anyways in the future but now I have a reason to do it now. these are a few I was considering, what do you guys like more, the combat one I had on my old teg and I really liked the looks alot, and might get that one, but what you think of the others? I sort of want to keep one with bumper lights to not get pulled over, but do you think about 6 ultra-bright LEDs or whatever you see on ebay stuffed in each of the tiny little gaps at the bottom sides of the bumper would be visible when blinking if i had a flasher hooked up to them? any other solution, like making brights low/highs and lowbeams to blinkers?

another question I have, when the fornt end of a car were to impact a dirt wall , would the dash lights being hot and the sudden impact burn them up or did the wires getpinched/cut? I would think it went form battery to a switch to the lights so I wouldnt thinka wire got cut or nothing, and the rest of the car is perfectly fine and the rear didnt hit nothing but the tailights went out as well, they dont light up. now I figured maybe they too were hot and the impact burnt them up, but the headlights still work, and arent the headlights the hottest running of all lights, or are they built tougher seeing as they get hotter?

also, I heard to be an actual drift you have to bve pushed through the drift or something like that, well I got as close as possible wiht my FWD tongiht. the back tires are slicks now, IM guessing the guy peeled out alot and put them on back. but I was goign aorund this long right, not really sharp at all, probably only liek 60 tops, I take it at like 75 at leats in my civic, but wiht good tires, anyways on the entrance to the turn it started sliding out from underneath me, I steered into it and held it from whipping around all the way around the corner, and the anhle of the car kept pushing it into the turn, so I didnt fly off the bank, but once the turn straightened out, I inched closer and closer to the ditch on a sideways slide, I was trying to correct it coming out of the turn bit it wouldnt hook, just kept going farther and farther around, and eventually the front hit the dirt and threw me around back into the road, the fenders/top of bumper still lok like new, and the bottom of the bumper isnt too bad, just a couple cracks, and it drives/brakes straight still, but the lower radiator support is BARELY pushed up/back, but no leaks or anything. man I got lucky. needless to say I am putting the 17's with good tires on tomorrow. and has anyone on here slid around a long corner succesfully wiht their teg, and ALSO succesfully pulled out of it once the corner was over, if I had good rears I know I wouldnt have lost it at al, but If i had good tires and somehow still had oversteer instead of understeer, would the good rears have helped me bring it back to straight?

one last question, my car has altezzas(you can see in the pic) and I dont really hate them, but wouldnt mind going wiht something different, but dont wanna go stock, maybe ones that have the stock red and clear but just not the amber part. dop they make those?

I was seriously gonna ask if that was new, cause I saw your sig. Get rid of the altezzas and go with the 98 up all reds. I personally like the last bumper the best.

well,the srd one i listed is my 2nd choice, and I think I might just get M3 mirrors w/ LED and use them as my blinkers. and do they sell aftermarket lokalikes or do i gotta get OEM, I might be able to find them used somewhere but if they are cheap like some altezzas are ill go new.

also, I checked on my car again a minute ago, it actualy is better/worse then i thought, the radiator suppot is shoveed back a bit more than I was hoping, but not a ton, Ill yank it back out with a come along and some bolcks, and not a thing anywhere else is damaged, well, of course the bumper and one inner fender skirt is in the trunk. I picked up a winshield washer resorvoir by the scene of tha ccident and when i got home, I see it wsnt even mine, so someone ditched it there or Im not the first.

anyways, I checked all lights, still have low/high beams, stil pointing properly and not cracked, I still have reverse, left and right blinkers as wella s brake lights, just no taillights. and all interior instrument lights work, and all the srs/ABS/CEL/battery, all those light up when the key turns on, but no guage lights, im just guessing but since the only lights that were on for long enough to be really hot would be tails/guege lights/and headlights. and ssing as headlights cost like 17x more than a set of taillights, they mgiht just be a bit more durable, so they didnt die. I am just gonna ghet reverse indiglos anyways so i dont need to worry about the guagelights.

I guess its just a bigger incentive for a complete makeover when I get back from fishing.

I think the RSX is out, this will be cheaper, WAY faster, and way nicer by the time im done. I kinda like having a sedan as well. but it has that same 3rd gear synchro problem my old teg had, still goes in nice and quiet at below 5k though so no big deal yet.

For some reason I havent found aftermarket all reds, only the OEMs on ebay that go for about 110-150.
If the teg already had indiglo guages Ive heard those can burn out easily. Bumper 3 is nice and clean, I like it A LOT, I'm gonna look into it for sure. (thanks) Let us know how the build up goes, and if you don't mind, what are you plannin? One last question, where and what are you gonna fish for?

no it didnt already have them, and I finally found a set after about a half hour of browsing ebay that the center doesnot glow as well.

anyways, fishing for pacific cod in alaska til early next year, back about january I think.

and system is the panasonig organic el it already has, plus infinity kappa components/rears, JBL amp, audiobahn 12" sub, then kit is the bumper, skirts and rear lip, I like the rear bumper that comes wiht the kit that i showed first, but through the mesh you see all the metal and what ever else is behind your bumper cover and i think it looks sloppy. so just a rear lip probably. 17" tantrums, full tie/sway bar setup.

rebuilt LS tranny, and FULLY built CRVTEC, have some parts, I got a thread title spray making up for boost in the n20/supercharger forum if you wana see, im hopefully gonna hit 12's, seeing as Ill have a heavy system/kit, it mgiht be a bit tough, but I think ill do it, im gonna run on 6 pound 13x8 weld draglites with slicks at the track so its possble.

i want that wing, but it says 3 door, and I am guessing the width of the hatch compared o the trunk as well as the angled hatch and flat trunk it wont work, does a company make a 3 pc for a sedan, or will the hatch model fit, i wanna see it on a teg sedan first though before i buy it because I think it might look funny if the outer 2 peices just barely reach the windshield instead of wrap around it like on the hatch. in case you havent noticed im picky about what goes on my car.

I want tails to look like that, the OEM ones arent crystal clear red huh, more like the red wiht millions of little lines thorugh it so you cant see in to the bulb area?

Yeah, and then the inner most light area is clear for the reverse/back up lights. Those look good to though, especially if you can find a deal. I looked and couldnt find any spoilers like that on a 4 door. Your fix up sounds like it'll be tough, but worth it. Badass

yeha, I estimate I will spend almost triple on engine/tuning that I will on aesthetics(how ever you spell it) and about 50% more on engine/tuning than the car cost me.

but when I smoke those vettes/vipers its all gonna be worth it!

I saw a pic of a 3 pc on a 2 door just now from many angles and decided it just wouldnt lok right even if it fit,

I havent really decided if this would look good on a 4 door teg yet, its one of the 3 that say 3 and 4 dr on erebuni.

I might not even get a spoiler, I was set against it on my 2 door, and I think the 4 door looks nice wihtout oen as well.

but I got all the lights to work, checked the fuses today and thats all it was, I didnt check it right away cuz I didnt thikn that the taillights and the guage cluster lights would be on the same circuit, man they have some weird combinations of things on each circuit, I maen why run the license ligt/tails, and instruiments off one and not just rear lights off of one, interior lights and front lights or somehting like that. I guess hondas made cars since before I was born that still run strong today so who am I to bitch anyways

and I got the sokudo/federal package on ym teg now and it handles like its on rails just like my old teg did, havent worked up the balls to really test it yet though since the incident. but ive pushed it a bit, and only heard a tiny chirp once when I hit a little bump on a corner

It looks like you already have a front lip on there...but since you need a new front...DEFINITELY get the bomex front...IMO the only front kit that looks good on tegs.

it did have a lip but on the drivers side, where it mopunts to, that part is cracked and not there, so i cant use it, my friend has it on his teg right now, along wiht my clear bumpers since those dont have the mount for them on one side.

and I am even thinking of a stock bumper again wiht ITR lip, maybe the JDM ITR front end conversion. the engine/sytsem aspect is all decided I just dont know wher I want to go for looks.
