Nissan Maxima 300zx Upgrade

Hey does anyone know if 300zx Pistions and rods will fit into a 96 Nissan Maxima and help the engion compression?

No, the 300zx is a VG, and the Max is a VQ. The Max doesn't have a compression problem, the high compression helps it produce more power... If ya want to put new internals in, try the one's from a Cima...

I swear , im starting to think maximas are no fun, you cant do motor swaps...or like nothing...ugghh

Cima is a JDM car, not available in the US, but if you can find someone to send you some internals from Japan, you can have yourself a VQ30DET... and a larger displacement engine

What about droping a new 2002 nissan maxima engion in a 4th generation? Or putting there ECU in a 4th generation? what about thoes ideas.....and were did u get your nos? Anywere sell used kits?

To much custom work, drive axles, etc wouldn't fit, too much $$$. Nos I got from JCwhittney for $390 shipped, but they were on sale. check out www.ebaymotors.com or shop around the websites, but expect around $500+

Man ive been reading up on that cima car your been telling me about, and its a 3.0L front wheel drive with 280hp .... will that motor drop right into the 4th generation maxima?

I thought it was RWD? I don't think it will bolt in though, the turbo won't fit...
