'I got a diablo' - that means you bought one, self explanatory.

'me getting a diablo' this is furture tense, which means you are at some point in the future, going to purchase one of these amazing machines, hand crafted by god.

But because none of us can prove you don't own one, nor do, if you are serious, you are a lucky few who can own one. There are a few people here who do, welcome to AF.


yes, post pics, if you are wealthy enough to own one of these, and can rake out a further 100 a year for insurance and maintenence, you can afford a 600 dollar digital camera to take pics.

I own 3 lamborghini's.
a 25th aniversary Countash, it's black.
a 1992 2wd Diablo, it's red,
and a black 1998 Diablo SV.

Of course, these cars are mini-toy cars, but I still own them.
I race them with me, my self and I, you can push them back to wind up the motor, then let them go. The countash has an axle problem, so it doesn't go, the SV JUST beats the 92 diablo by about 4cm.

Actually his post is not contradictory...

"i got a Diablo" = he got a diablo
"What do you think of me getting a Diablo?" = he wants to know what we think of him getting one

I suppose the context he used isn't, but look at these examples:
"What do you think of me getting a diablo [next week]?"
"What do you think of me getting paid double time?"

I would of said "I bought a Diablo, what do you think?" rather then confusing us all by asking a rhetorical question that implies he hasn't yet purchased it

And yes, you can come over and race my diablo's with me!
I might actually post pics when dad comes over!
