deactivating auto traction control

whats up everyone? i have a 2000 gti vr6 glx with the normal traction control. its a nice feature in all but i get pissed when i wanna race and it comes on when i go for it. It even comes on when i chirp second. I know there is the button that is there to turn it off, and it is off but comes on automaticly when i lose traction. how do i make it stay off?????

damn, that never happens to me and my glx is just a year newer than yours. i have no idea.

i talk to vw, the comp program is stuff, they are going to reset it, thanks for trying to help!!
