How to make car pictures like "toony"

Title explains it...how do i make a car picture look like this......

Just put a new layer and trace over the car on the new layer.....

i like the cell shaded look though. The one you posted is EXTRA NICE AND CLEAN just not my style.

glad you guys like my toon.
i just made a new layer. outline the car and the background with the line tool (make sure its black). then use lasso to outline a section. use eyedroper pick color from inside what you just lassoed. then paint bucket inside the lassoed area. you just continue that until your whole pic is done. its not hard just really time consuming.

hey youngdrifter when you said not your style did you mean that pic is not to your likeing or is there another way to toon? i read somewhere something about manga tooning. I havent tried it and i think it looks just like cell shading so didnt waste my time on it. by the way love that mr2 in your sig. did you make that?

What i mean is, the way you do it is probly a different way then mine. Obvioulsy it is. But I'm new to the adobe scene and stuff. The way i did mine is, i think, easier. Where did you see that magna thing?

i'm curious about how you did yours. cuz that mr2 looks great. you mind giving us a tutorial on your procedure? i'll try to dig up that manga tooning thing. hope i still have the link somewhere.
