Question Muffler for my Accord

What's up everyone?

I haven't been here in probably a year, due to college, work, etc. I do have a question about mufflers, however. I want to get a muffler for my 98 accord sedan that has the 2.3. I want one that is fairly quiet and not too loud, but still has a louder than stock deep tone. Because of this, I was looking into getting an Apex'i World Sport muffler. However, they are extremely pricey. Does anyone know of a cheaper muffler that I could buy that is not extrememly loud, but is louder than stock?

Thanks.

magnaflow.com

. Seriously, the only muffler I've ever seen that actually lives up to that description. Otherwise it'll be loud an obnoxious 9.9/10. You may consider just a stock muffler with larger piping (2.25"). This will make it louder, but not a whole lot, and you won't sound like a weedeater. Probably a pretty cheap alternative, and assuming the stock muffler isn't EXTREMELY restrictive (which I doubt it is)......it'll probably increase power a *little* too.

Good luck

Thanks a lot. I don't see any prices for mufflers on that site though. I will look more into magnaflow though. Keep the suggestions coming!

they don't sell, you'll have to find a distributor - I think they have a section to find one local.

I had a Pacesetter cat-back exhaust on a 90 accord 4-cyl. It was quite inexpensive and wasn't super-loud. However, the black coating peeled off and the steel began rusting after one winter of salt-covered roads.
My friend has the World Sport muffler on her 94 Accord 4-cyl. It's quite mellow even with the huge tail-pipe.
