I find out how much tires plus is going to charge me for the camber kits on monday and i'm sure some of you out there know where i can get better prices. any feedback appreciated thanks

Re: Camber kits

you can probably find some on ebay.com

I really don't know any better places to get them.

however, i would like to send some useful information to you about camber kits.

becareful and do NOT get any extreme camber kits that correct up to 3 degrees of negative camber.
you will result in more problems because the camber kit will push out the upper control arms too far and will hit the fenders.

I got a camber kit that only adjust 1 degree and it is pretty much pushed out all the way. I have my upper control arm shaved down a little just to make the clearance inside my fenders.

How low is your car???
Do you know your measurements and how much of a camber problem you have???

www.groupbuycenter.com has camber kits. It came out to be $250 for front and rear ones. Expensive yes...but it'll save you 10 times that in the long run.

my control arm was shaved by my alignment shop.

i actually paid big money for my alignement, i didn't go cheap on this important step.
my alignment was done by a professional shop that specialize in performance cars such as vipers, porsche, saleen, nsx, etc.
www.customalignment.com

the shaved was very little....probably only a few mm.
the important part was they knew what they were doing.

i went to a few other places just to find out some prices. a few places didn't do lowered cars. other plaecs didn't want my business because they only did normal stock cars and lowered cars wasn't their speciality.

i got my ingalls front kit for $165 installed at a local shop, and like natcc said i also got my control arm shaved for another 25 bucks at a shop that specialized on lowering vehicles.

sure...no problem....glad to help out

you said your rear has the worst camber?
that is odd because normally it's the front that has the worst camber when a car is lowered.
how low is your car?

when I got my progress kit, the guy who did it just did a washer job on the back. Turns out that my right front camber is now at 0, but my left front camber is -.3, they say this accounts for the car pulling to the left, hmmm, I'm so sure bout that

yeah, the rear is easy to fix....i used the same technic on my ride for the rear.
it's cheaper than getting an actual camber kit. for the rear.

i have a question for you DemonicAccord
0 on the right and -0.3 on the left?!?!?!?!?!
WHY????????????????
I wonder how that happened.

he said I may have bent a suspension component somwhere but he sure couldn't tell. The kit is on correctly, but its static, no adjustability, so its not like one side was adjusted wrong. I am going to get a kit from www.specprod.com that is adjustable, so I can get to zero, but right now its not a priority, just a little annoying on the highway. he said it wasn't common, but he'd seen it before. dunno

When I dropped my Accord 1.9" and 1.8" my rear camber was -1.1 and -1.2. My front was -0.8 and -0.9.

I got Ingalls camber kit in there and after putting on 17x7 rims I was able to correct the front to -0.3 and the rear -0.7.

My Accords pulls to the right:o And I'm sure its because it was sitting on a front right flat tire for like 6 months. Oh well I've gotten use to it.
