Re: exhaust question

sound=i wouldn't think so (i took mine out when i replaced the exhaust along with punching out the cat)
performance= it does restrict air flow so you might see a difference not much though
If you havent havent replaced the factory exhaust and plan on doing it down the road I would wait to do this mod untill you replaced the exhaust (save your self a little $)

Re: Re: exhaust question

I couldn't tell you the gains, because I installed my RT offroad pipe when I eliminated my U-bend. But many have said it's a good thing to do.

Not sure if your car is a SE, GT, or GTP but I replaced the u-bend on my GTP. The overall benefit from replacing it depends on your other mods. If you don't plan to mod the car their's not much point in removing it.

No sound change after replacing it.

Edit: Sorry, if I'd looked at your profile I'd have seen that you drive a MC.

Its been proven to give a 5hp gain and 2-3mpg gain. It may not be felt but worthwhile.
