How do you change headlights in a 02 cav?

this friend at work wants bright white headlights for her cav. theres a metal piece in the way from behind so you cant just twist and pull out the bulb like you can in my integra. i thought you might have to take the whole headlight housing out so i took off those two 1/2" bolts on the top and the headlight housing still wouldnt come out...

I have a 99 cavy and I'm not sure if the process is the same, but how I did it was remove the two bolts thats holding down each headlight and remove the bulbs that way.

headlight

i just changed mine out of my '02 cav. last weekend. u do what you're doin...had to tilt it alittle..not to much there are 2 plastics pieces holding the back bottom to the frame of the car. and the corners are held by a little round plastic piece with rubber covering it. be careful prolly breaks easy. pull that straight out as well..then you can turn the back of the bulb and take it out.

took me longer to put em back in then take em out. lol

I have to say that it does take longer to put them back in because those 2 plastic pieces like to fall down before you can get the headlight screws back in. I just put clear corner lights on my car and now I just hope the headlights are aimed straight still? I tightened it back to where the screw stopped looking clean

Take out 1/2 inch screw and there is a clip on the back you have to take out headlight assembly. You have to take out headlight assembly to get to your fog lights as well.
