cleaning an engine

ok... this probably shouldn't go here... it should be in car care, but you guys will see it here.... ok, here's my problem: i'm doing a final cleaning of my new engine before it goes in the car, and i can't get the salt water.. oxydation garbage off the metal!!! it urks me. what would you suggest that i use to remove this japan water ickyness?

Go to your local car shop and pick up a bottle of Simple Green... it comes in a concentrated spray. Now rent a pressure washer. Wrap the dizzy with a plastic bag (not essential, just a precaution.. I don't cover mine anymore), saturate engine with FULLY CONCENTRATED Simple Green. Don't water it down. Let it sit until it's dry. Saturate again. Spray with pressure washer until all the SG is off (as in it doesn't bubble/foam anymore). Repeat the process until it's all shiny and pretty!

already tried simple green, a blue degreaser that's supposed to be used on heavy grease..., an orange solvent, and a wire brush.... still not coming off...

tried paste stuff... also didn't work

oxydation = teh evil
