N00b HICAS/LSD question

Hey, Im new- to this forum, to the 240sx, whatever.

I checked the FAQ and couldnt find an answer, maybe someone else can help.

I was just wondering if there was a way to tell if a specific S13 has HICAS- Is there a trim level (like SE) or something else to easily be able to tell.

Same question for LSD.

cool man, I just checked and I found some pretty good answers. Thanks for pointing me to the search feature, it helps loads!

From what I read, it seems that HICAS is really easy to spot simnply by looking under the car. The LSD might be harder if the car's been abused, I guess theres a sticker on it. Also, apparently every Canadian 240 came with LSD... ya canuck bastards! :-p

Anyone got anythign to add?

Every hicas came with LSD.

Short of driving it or looking closely at the differential, theres no way to tell if a car has a LSD.

Hicas cars have the words "Super Hicas" on the rear quarter panel just in front of the wheel arch (kind of like where the vtec sticker would be on a civic SI). Im pretty sure only the hatches were available with Hicas or LSD.

there's also a warning lamp on the dash just to the right of the steering wheel. it reads HICAS. go figure.

OK, so every HICAS has LSD. Ive been looking around online and I found out that the 240 hatch could be bought with a "handling pack" that incuded HICAS and LSD.

New question- is it possible to get a 240 with LSD btu without HICAS?
