Will a Chevy 350 fit in my civic?

I have a question, I have a 97 Civic LX, and I was wondering if a Chevy 350 small block engine would fit in my civic?

Re: Will a Chevy 350 fit in my civic?

Sure. Why not go for a newer V12 benz engine, they're twin turbo, pushing a bit less than 500 HP?

Seriously though, you could, but you'd have to do a lot of cutting and welding, plus God knows how much more custom work and parts..... would probably be a whole lot cheaper to swap in a B-series. But if you pull it off, please post some pics of the setup!

Common sense here... ANYTHING is possible if you have the right amount of $$$

Will a Chevy 350 Fit In Your Civic?? WHAT!!!!

You know it really pisses me off when people attempt to do this, talk about this, or actually do this. This type of procedure is SACRALEGE!!!!! Sometime before my life is over I am going to find an old Camero or Corvette and put a Honda engine in it to piss off all those american iron lovers because of all the times they piss me off!!!! Could you imagine a car like that at one of those car shows with all of the old timers there who know nothing but how adjust a carburetor and which gear ratio to use in there rear end (it seems like that is all they talk about at those kind of shows). This will be my goal, of course, after my b16a2 engine is built. Want to let everyone know that AEBS also does awesome sleeving jobs, would recommend them for your next motor build.

with the right amount of money & redneck engineering anything is possible. If I did something like that(thought about it many times) the engine would be in the rear. Ever seen these : http://www.v8archie.com/index.shtml that place is near my house.

Actaully lets bump that up to a .50 desert eagle right between the eyes. Why put an american engine in an import? It's like someone taking a 402 over a 2JZ motor.....

u know u can do anything with the right amount of cash. good luck converting to RWD. you'l be doing alota fabricating power to weight ratio also comes into mind here, if u drop that engine in there u are adding alota weight that u wouldnt have if u swapped for a B series motor.
