A few small questions
Hi to all Z people. Im looking for my first car now and my list is 90-93 Stang, Lt1 Camaro and late 80's to early 90's Z. There is a big choice where i live so i wanted to ask:
How do you describe a late 80's to early 90's Z in good condition (e.g. Milage, Interior, exterior etc) Thanks to all who will reply.

A Z, a Camaro or a Stang? We'll see. #1 The Camaro is out, it can't handle the heat of this country. #2 So much for "The Camaro is out...", I found one which is tuned to handle the heat and its 1995 for 2.5K, its not my final decision though. #3 Camaro is out, someone bought it before me. #4 Found a 300ZX 1986 in good condition for 2400, will take it for a check up on thursday. |

im also considering buying a 90-94 300zx tt. ive been doing quite a bit of research in the past 6 months or so and ive found that the average mileage is about 90,000 miles. i rarely find them with perfect paint, but usually it's pretty good. personally, if the paint is chipped a little and there are some small tears in the seats, that's not going to stop me from buying the car. as long as the engine's in descent condition and the price is not too high, you should definetely go for it. hope this helps

as for late 80s Z (87-89) as far as milage, 150-200k miles would be around average. Interior might experiance cracked dashes, and a few rips and tears on the seats and other places on the interior. The stock speakers (assuming they are still on there) might be blown. Exterior wise dont expect to have it mint condition. paint might be faded or chipped. Basicly what you would look for in any older model cars. If you find a Turbo Z, make sure the turbo is in working order. and the injectors have been changed due to the recall. those are some problems you might encounter if you try to look for a older Z..but if you find one thats in great condition..you should seriously consider it. For first car owners, owning a classic like that would be very rewarding and be a great learning experiance.
