Question Amplifier help - what do I need?

I just bought a two 12" subs box off ebay. I'm twisting my head off trying to figure out what kind of amp I need to power it. With dual subs do I need a 4 channel amp, or will a 2 ch work? The power per sub is 350 watts RMS and 700 max with 4 ohm voice coils. When looking at amps, should I follow the 4 ohms output rather than the 2?

Here's the setup i bought: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=32823

Can you help me find something to power it? I'd appreciate it. Do you think I should look into a capacitor too? I'm a little lost and just looking for some help. THANKS!!!

Talking this should do it...

get yourself a good two channel amp to push these subs... an audiobahn A8002T (model #?) should do it. You can also get a 4 channel amp and bridge it into a 2 channel setup to get the most power out of it... That will definitly make those subs thump and won't blow them. It's hard to find an amp that will run at 2 ohms, and if those two subs are 4 ohms wired independently of one another, then stick with the 4 ohm setup just to be safe. don't bother with a capacitor until you have it all hooked up and see that your headlights are dimming severely... i once had 3 farads of capacitance... waste of money. hope this helps!

Re: this should do it...

get an amp that puts out 350x2@4ohm or 700x1@2ohm. Either setup will work just as well as the other but it would be easier to wire it if you found a 350x2 amp instead of 700x1.

Amps that come to mind are the:
Avionixx AXT800.4 - 400x2 @ $285
JBL BP600.1 - 600x1 @ $230

The Avionixx will put 100rms more to each sub, but it costs a bit more. The final choice is up to you.
