Where is the EGR valve

I need a picture of the EGR valve to see where it is on my car. I'd also like a rundown on replacing it. My boyfriend can do it, but he just doesn't wanna mess it up. Please Help!

why are you replacing the egr???

if anything i would take it off and keep it off along with taking off the cats which im assuming you still have on because your asking about egr

That one is too new to toss the egr valve. It would be pinging all the time. We will need to know v6 or v8, 'cause they are in different locations on each engine.
