painting mud guard?

I saw some Maxima with painted body color Mud guard..Is this custom job or dealer option? If it's custom job, what's the process of painting? Primer + paint + clear coat? or any other process since we are dealing with flexible rubber parts?

As far as I know its a custom job. Its the same process as painting the body, just make sure they put flex in the paint.
