Turbo Prelude vs Turbo RSX

he guys, ran a RSX with a cybernation stage 1 turbo kit. he was messing around with my friend with a civic ex so my friend called me a set-up to race and to put him in his place. he said he dynoed 301WHP. he drove from virgina and had cybernation put on the kit for him. he had it on for about a week and wanted to smoke people.

we went to Saga Bay to race and we ran 2 runs from dead stop 1 from a roll. he was running 8psi and i was running 9psi, Whooped his ass, Whooped his ass, Whooped his ass.
i had him by 1-2 cars each race.
Had to represent for the Preludes, what was that guy thinking

he thought he was the shit but i had to put him in his place for my frined in the civic

Nice assasination man.
It was a 160 hp k series turboed or a 200 hp k series turbo. Well those engines turbocharged get some massive power, Ive seen a guy who has a 2003 si turbo an he pulled 270 whp on the dyno pretty impressing.
Well if you owned that guy by 2 cars, damn man your fucking prelude is shit fast. Have you taken it to the track, or do you have a rough estimate of your 1/4 mile. I guess you would be mid 13s? Nice kill man it must been a real fu**ing adrenaline rush.

Hey how fast is your Prelude? My friend has a 2001 SH with intake, dual exhaust, header, vtec controller, and some other stuff. He wanted to get a turbo so he could keep up with me but he never could afford one. His car is kinda quick. I was just wondering what the 1'4 and dyno #'s are for a newer style Prelude.

A VTEC controller is pointless unless you have aftermarket cams. Honda tunes VTEC to kick in at the precise point when power begans to drop. Lower or raising that Point is usless and actually makes you lose power....Not to include that it also messes up your engine. I have heard of ppl running a VTEC controller at low RPM's and screwing up there engine in 3 months.....Food for Thought

was that the type S or base model RSX? for the HP numbers im guess n that it's the type S. Cybernation RSX's are pretty quick. One ran a 12.5 sec 1/4 mile time running 12 lbs of boost on slicks. they have one that makes 439 hp at around 20 lbs of boost. RSX loves to be force fed. I taught the type S woulda beat the prelude... maybe the guy in the RSX needs to learn how to drive the car. u said he just got it turbo'd so give em some time to get use to the car. i bet he'll be able to take the lude

You know what you are talking about and I can't disagree with that. I got a K20 si and it's not even boosted, I still beat a Prelude SH.(Bone stock) Give the RSX some time to get a feel of his car then race again and see what will happen then. Just to let you know can also beat the RSX-S.(Bone stock)

02 Prelude= 200hp, 165lbs of torque and weight 2700lbs
02 RSX-S= 200hp, 158lbs of torque and weight 2500lbs
02 HB Si= 160hp, 138lbs of torque and weight 1700lbs
My K20 Si after mods= 197hp, 153lbs of torque and weight 1700lbs

As you can see, not much different of hp and torque but my car weight about 1000lbs lighter than theirs and that makes a big difference.
