2001 330ci vs. 2002 325ci

howdy yall.....i have a conundrum--should i buy a 2001 330ci with everything in it, or a newer 2002 325ci with everything in it? both are the same price. my brain tells me to take the 2002 325, cuz it's newer, but my heart tells me to go with the 2001 330, cuz it rocks. any help here, please?

Tuff choice I think you will be happy with either one, but if it were me I woud get the 330CI cause its got the bigger engine

I vote for the 325, but under the assumption that is has lower mileage. I have not driven a E46 yet that didnt give me adequate power. For day to day driving the 2.5 will workin just fine. Now if you want to impress the girls or something or want to be cock-of-the-walk for some reason, then go with the 330

I chose the 2.5 myself because I need good gas mileage. Never had a complaint about the power.

325 or 330?

Sounds like a tough choice but I owned a 2001 325 and it was a great car. I now own a 2003 330CI some of the differences I've noticed are with accelleration and un-believable brakes. Talking to my BMW tech. the 3 litre is basically a 2.5 with a taller stroke and tweaked electronics. I guess it comes down to how much performance you want and overall mileage of both!

Re: 325 or 330?

I'd go for the 330. Why? Cos it's a 330!! Useful amount of extra power and torque. 1 yr difference in the car's age is worth that, imo

I had the same dilemma earlier:

'99 328I or '00 325I

I drove the 325 and then the 328 and the power difference sold me on the '99

I'm like Tim Allen,

MORE POWER!
ARGH
ARGH
ARGH!

I bought a loaded 328I that was immaculately maintained and have been enjoying car ever since.

Go for the 330

The 330's appear to have it

What have you decided on?

That's an easy decision. The 330 is just MORE car! Even if it's an automatic, it will still snap your head back. And the mileage is still bery good 23 in town and 28 hwy. Go for it!

Please! Go For The 330ci You'll Love The Torque/power It Has It Never Stops, It Just Wants More, And You Will Still Be Under Waranty Depending On How Much You Drive For At Least 3-4 More Years

330ci Wins!!!

Re: 2001 330ci vs. 2002 325ci

with the 01 330ci, you have 227hp with an E36 M3 motor 3.0L, and you get more torque, thats pretty much it. and the 325i, you get 189 hp with a 2.5L engine. both are nice cars, but I would personally get the 01, but if I had the money I would get the 04 330i ZHP (Performance Package) and get it with the 6 speed (6 speed is only available on the 04)
