Re: Cruiser GT vs Mustang GT

Dont listen to them, I know of a PT that beat a Z06 at the drag strip in Ennis Tx. and he beat him by 0.17 sec.
Have you modded your GT yet?

Re: Cruiser GT vs Mustang GT

If you haven't modified it then I think I have to give the Mustang the nod. But if you made the right modifications then who knows?

Unfortunately, if a Mustang is going to race, it probably won't be stock as well.

That's a pretty heavy modified NA PT Cruiser, not a GT. If Rismo is starting with a GT and adds a Stage 1 ($430) and BTG or VAK air intake ($250), he could give the Mustang a run for his money. Mike in Orange logged 14.554 @94.24 MPH.

The 2003 PT GT has 230 HP and weighs 3304 lb
The 2001 Mustang GT has 260 HP, and weighs 3429 lb

Rismo could get lucky if his friend threw a shift or got bad wheel spin off the line or something.

But, yes, I would think a stock PT GT vs stock Mustang GT, should go to the Mustang.
