'97 Locks/AC mystery
I have '97 Sub 1500 LT. Recently, the electric locks stopped unlocking (and my remote/alarm stopped working). It seemed to be the driver side switch so I replaced it - but to no avail. I had the dealership diagnose it and they said that 4 of the 5 lock actuators had died and the they could replace them for about $1000. I bought the parts through ebay for $125 and replaced them myself - again with no improvement. All doors will lock but only the front left door unlocks.
The dealership said the the remote/alarm wouldn't work because the system was recognizing that the locks had not engaged properly.
PS. the AC just stopped working. All fuses and relays checked out OK. But I think that is a seperate issue.
Any thoughts?
