FORD 400-Fans' First weekend-Miami
I will be attending the FORD 400 at Homestead-Miami Nov. 15-16.
I recieved an E-mail from the race people offering people who have bought tickets an opportunity to drive thier own car on the track during FORDs' Fans First Weekend, next Saturday/Sunday. October 25-26. It's FREE(for Race ticket holders). I'll be taking my Vette down on Sunday the 26th to do it. Has anyone attended any NASCAR related "On-Track" events as to what this will really entail...? 1800-PITSHOP is handling the ticket end for FORD and NASCAR. I'll be calling the track this week to get a more precise idea, but was hoping somebody here knew of what to expect. This will be the 4th track my car has been on. Road Atlanta, Sebring, & Daytona being the others. I don't want drive the 4-hours down there, for a one lap at 35mph if ya know what I mean. It must be somewhat serious as there is more tangible 'Tech-ing' to one's car than my Daytona experience. My Road Atlanta/Sebring deals were full on novice 'Hot Laps'.
