Does control arm require tranny pull?
I was wondering if anyone has replaced a the lower control arm on the Paseo. I'm considering doing some work on my girlfriend's car (the Pase) and we we're told by a mechanic that to replace the control arm, you had to also take apart, and remove the transaxle (auto tranny).
This isn't the case for my car, so I was wondering if you had any comments on this process... I have found no online Chilton's repair manual for tha Paseo. I've looked at repair manuals for other Toyotas, but none of them require removal of the tranny, so I think I'm smelling a shadey mechanic. If you have had to replace your control arm, please let me know at: [email protected] Thanks all. |

Re: Does control arm require tranny pull?
Hey.
I would suggest you spend $1 and try QuikMechanic at: http://www.ineed1.com/quikmechanic.html I used them before and they helped alot. I did waste my money and go to a mechanic without being prepared and without spending to much money like $68 per hour, and still don't fix it. It's just $1 anyway, so you can't go wrong. Chutch |
