90 ranger, won't stay running

after vehicle sets up for a week will crank. as soon as idles down will shut off. will not crank again until it sets another week. took it to 3 mechanics including ford company who ran diagnostic test, showed was the crank sensor and control module. took back to original mechanic, replaced those parts (was 1/2 price). still did same thing. took to former ford service manager, has own shop now, replaced same parts and installed new lifters. got truck running, bro't it home, went to a friend's house and the problem started all over again! all mechanics said fuel pressure is great and all cables connected. beyond bafflement. i need somebody who has been through this to tell me how to fix this. please...before i go broke. too late...already broke. but i really want to beat this thing and get my truck running.

If you mean your driving down the street and the thing stalls, wont start for half an eternity then starts like it never had a problem... replace your distributor. costs about 70 bux to buy the whole assembled ready to install dist. takes 20 minutes to change. I fought my truck with a stalling and no starting issue for 10 years between 3 people. After a new engine, complete new sensors and a grand in misc services... it was a 70 dollar distributor. Hasnt given me a lick of trouble since.

Hope it helps.
