ecu????

i was looking at this integra that was for sell with a b16 motor swap in it. the only problem is that when it hits 5000 rpm it wont engage v-tech and wont go past 5000 rpm when there is a load on it.it feels like it hits redline. if it is at a stop you can rev it all the way to red line. the guy said that the reason why it does that is because when the kid did the swap he didnt replace the ecu to a v-tec ecu. is that true about the ecu or his h just trying to get rid of it????

Vtech makes phones and knows nothing about honda motors.

Moving on I would personally stay away from the car, it sounds like who ever did the swap did a bad job and now wants to get rid of it quickly.

go in yourself and check the ECU. I assume you are talking about a gen 2 teg right? If its not a PR3 or a Pw0 then its ot a VTEC ECU for that car.
