A4 vrs Ford Contour vrs G20 #$@*!
I’m no expert in this department but reading an article where a A4 Ford, SVT Contour and the Infinity G20 are compared I got PISSED.
Where are the Dyno tests! I cant believe the G20 was Positioned 3rd in their competition!!!!!!!!!!! I demand a rematch!  You can read the article here: http://www.edmunds.com/edweb/whitmor...ti.G20.rt.html

Sorry to say but i'd take the Audi over the G20 any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Although these cars are priced similarly, the Audi has a turbo and the Ford is a V6. The little G just can't stand up to that. However; i think that a tuned G20 (no turbo, just some N/A mods) would be just as good or better than the A4.

I was going to buy a 99 Audi A4 1.8T fully loaded. But the dealers at my local Audi suxed soooo bad I got fed up and bought a G20.

Yup my Audi dealer experience sucked too. Not to mention the quattro would be the only A4 worth getting and it was NOT in the same price range as the G20. I got my G for $33k Canadian and the A4 quattro was $42k Canadian.

The Audi was gonna cost me 29k which is absolute BS. I told the dealer a many times I know you get these car for way cheaper and tryed to get the Audi as hard as I could. No luck. So my friends dad tells me he can sell me a 2002 G20 Sport with every option and then some for 25k. I decided why the hell not and went for it.

Exactly about the pricing....you have to look at it that way...with the G you get sooo much more for your money than any other car compared to it. Just imagine...before mentioned a quattro A4 is like 42K...A G is like 25K well for almost 20K can you imagine the mods you can put into the car...
 I wish i had that much money. One point that we have brought up before is that Nissan products compared to WV or Ford, are MUCH better when compared to reliability and maintenace. So look how much money you go in saving already. I know that on here an Audi mechanic hates working on Audis...my friends Ford breaks all the time (american products just suck). And looking in the general section...u can see the 25 most influental CEO's and Goshn was #1...nissan rules.

Is there any other reason besides "money-wise" that Infiniti didn't supply an sr20ve for the g20 instead? What were they thinking putting in de in a car such as the g20?
I don't really like audi's but this a4 is very attracting!

i had the same exact problems when i was going to get an A4 but i decided to get the g20. the a4 didnt have leather in the 1.8 and the dealers were bitches and the car was overpriced. car wasnt that great but if it had leather and a lower price i would have gotten it.
infiniti dealers are nice as hell. never met people nicer.

i too was looking at the a4 b4 i got my g but for 22300 i would have gotten a stripper a4 fwd. the a4 doesn't handle as well as the g, well the front wheel driver anyway. And the vw,,,,,ahem i mean the audi has some quality issues that concerned me....Must be a vw,,,,, ahem i mean audi thing.....sorry did it again

I was thinking about the A4 before I purchase my G in 2000...but for the price of my G 22500, but for that price, you cant even get a stripped Audi...so i went for the G, thinking of performance, they should be almost equal at stock...the A4 might be like couple tenth of a second faster only
