Help Me!! Im Stupid!!!!!!!!
go ahead laugh at me alll you want but i just started getting into cars a month ago. the 91-93 3s's have 5 gears and the olders have 6. does this make any difference. i mean does the extra gear make the odler versions any faster in any way? also i realluy need to knwo this. on www.3sxperformance.com they have sail pannels of a 99 3s. if i got a 91 would the sides look completely identical wiht the 99 sail pannels cause i love the looks of them. thakns alot bye

No reason anyone would laugh at you, your asking a question, as we all do when we dont know something.
The 91-93 is 5 speed and in 5th @ 7000rpm you would be around 190 mph The 94-99 sl and base are 5 speed and are geared about the same The 94-99 VR4 are 6 Speed and in 6th @ 7000 rpm you will be at 247 mph None of them can hit those speeds in their stock form, however in the 1/4 mile the 5 speed will be faster on a mildly modded car because you wont have to shift into 4th to finish the 1/4. The 6 speed will be faster in a heavly modded car, that would require a shift into 4th. In regards to the 99 sail panels, they will fit any year 3000gt, and look jus as the do on a 99. The problem comes if your paint is faded which will cause them to stand out.

The five speed is better geared to get good quarter mile runs in. Though in stock form, the 94+ had more boost and hence an additional 20hp or so.
Yeah - you can do conversion of the different body styles pretty easily. The frame of the car never changed during its production run.

breaks, drivetrain parts, and engine internals just to name a couple
