smoging an eclipse in arizona

i found the right eclipse for me and i will be buying it soon (i hope)
but there are a couple of itty bitty problems
the first one is that i have to drive 2k miles to bring it to arizona since it is in NY, and the second one is that the car has quite a few mods including 16g turbo injectors FMIC exhaust intake ,s-afc e.c.t. and i am afraid that i wont pass smog when i try to register it in az. can it be dyno tuned so it tuns leaner or something just for that smog test? or what can i do in order to make it smoggable just for the registration period
thnx guys.

is it AWD? and does it have cams?

if its awd you'll get away roller test thingy
other wise if it has a functioning cat, it can pass

another trick, since it has an AFC, u can lean it out before you test it, u can pass that way also
I know a car without a cat, did that an pass emissions

well, it sure worth it dude since it has fresh paint new engine with 32k miles 97-99 body, all these engine mods and a hell lot more and only $9k (working on that)
actually its not an awd but a gs-t model and it has a new 97 engine with less than 32k miles. also, dont they care if the car is lowered or if its loud as hell? just pass the smog and that's it? btw it has the stock cams
thank god that things are more fluent around here rather than california

Sounds like a good deal. I wouldent drive to ny and back tho. You could easily find one hear for cheaper and build it up yourself. Why is it being sold? Do a lemmon check on the vin #. make sure it didnt cran....ok im not going to say it. Id sure hate for you to drive over and not even decide to buy it because of some unkown problem they dont tell you untill you get there. Althogh a paint job can be rather cheap. earl schieb or macco $400. new engine or rebuilt? At engines unlimited they charge $1600 and you have brand new engine internalls. Which ill be doing some time before Christmas. So id say buy one here in az(by the way what part of az you in?). Im in Peoria. Paint it, rebuild the motor, if its a 2ng gen buy a rather cheap 14b and port it $200. And save yourself 9k + traveling fees..!! Not to persuade you at all or to say it wont be worth it. Im just telling you what I think will be cheapest and easyest.. Correct me and please give me feedback.!!
