What should I do about this?

This relates to all types of customization...Not just interior.

I am a 16 year old who makes 300 a month....Insurance is taken care of...I pay for gas on my 90 Isuzu Pickup...It's my dad's and he only uses it to haul some stuff around and to take our boat to go fishing on weekends sometimes. My problem is that I am debating whether or not to continue customizing my truck. I've got some things on it such as altezza lights, flowmaster exhuast, lowered, custom interior dyed, and some other little details.

I just got paid and I've also been debating whether or not to get an N-Gage or cell phone for that matter. When I get something put on my truck, it's appeal factor lasts a little while, then fades off. I have no clue what other people are reacting to my additions to my truck. I'm also questioning whether or not all of this is even neccessary. I've been starting to get a name for myself in the local areas, but nothing widespread. I enjoy buying things for my truck and putting them on. But the appeal factor just goes down after that and I'm always constantly looking up new parts. My dad's been telling me to hold off on buying stuff b/c I won't have money for college...Which is coming up in a couple of years. I want to make people turn their heads when I drive by, but all of hte time and money: IS IT REALLY WORTH IT? I know that I'm satisfied for a while, then the satisfaction dissappears....

Any suggestions? Comments?

I've been there. First, don't worry about other peoples reactions. I mean, is their oppinion worth much to you? As far as turning heads to do that drive a junker everyone always looks at those. Anyway, my point is when you modify your truck do what you want, and what you think looks good. Only then is it worth your money & time.

Your truck should reflect your personal style. It is after all, your truck. Do what YOU want to it. What others think would look good shouldn't be of any concern. I understand wanting to turn heads though.
