I Have An 85 S-10 And Have Been Researching A 350 Engine Swap For Some Time...a.k.a. No Money! Anyway I Have Heard That A Camaro Engine Late 80's Is One Of The Easyist Engine To Swap And Also The Most Stock Like. Besides That I Have Heard That A 350 From Any 1/2 Ton Would Also Work Well. Sooooooo......................what Do Ya Think?

A new 350 block, 350hp, 350lbs of torque will only cost you around $2500. They are dirt cheap but that's not including any carb or fuel injection system so you'd have to go out and buy that as well.

The tune ports from the late 80's to the early 90's is a great option. I had one from a 88 iroc that was awesome. Be careful because they made a 305 and a 350 tune port and there very hard to tell the difference not that the 305 isn't great just be sure not to pay a 350 price for it. Painless makes a great wire harness to replace the stock for those motors.
