i think you should do the swap if you could do it yourself or you have friends and if not get pricing on shops, at the least you should convert to mpfi first yourself (because shops for some reason charge a lot more for a swap if you have to convert ive checked)

I never questioned whether or not my 4th gen is the coolest damn car I could own. I love mine..

If he things a 3000Gt or a older Supra or a 240 are even close to his CRX, then I don't think owning it and dumping even more money into it is the right thing to be doing.

The swap may sound like a lot of cash, but if you ask anyone on here that's done it, it's more than worth it.

With the $$$ you'd save in a potential car payment & insurance the swap would be more cost effective IMO...

Well i would suggest to do the swap you will not be sorry. It's all about power to weight the other cars you had mentioned also are alot heavy cars. If you were talking a 1993 RX or Toyota Supra turbo that is a different story. I have a Toyota Supra it's a wild car but the CRX can run circles around it thru tight windy turns. It will run you about 2500 to do the swap the right way. If you take your time and don't rush things. I can help you with anything you might need to know it's pretty straight forward. I have done atleast 35 swaps so far. I can tell you where to get a JDM for a good price and i might even be able to swing the 1991 Integra XSi 170hp motor it has a 60mm throttle body and a more aggressive cam with 10:4:1 compression. That plus a chip in the ECU with your exhaust you will get 180hp. It will be a fun drive compared to the bulky cars you mentioned.

Peace Bro

Well you must not know a whole lot about engines SiZ read and weep! LOL !

In 1991, the range received minor cosmetic changes. More significantly the B16A engine was enhanced to current generation specs; 10.4 CR, wilder cam-profiles; producing 170ps. The 1991 revision also saw the introduction of the first 1.8l engined Integra. The DOHC (non-VTEC) B18B was first used on the 1991-1993 Integra ESi where it produced 140ps.

Wow! If the internet says it, it MUST be true!

Ya.. I don't know much about engines. I'm so new to this game. What does the B stand for?
If you really think you're gonna get 180hp from a chip and a 91 teg engine I'm gonna assume you've never raced off your keyboard.

yes i have raced alot the b is a the series of the block which is interchanges with other componets within the b series family and all B series engines are DOHC motors any other questions!

the b16 was introduced in 1989 here is a list of the family that follows

B16A G1 - The original motor introduced in JDM 1989 Civic/CRX (EF body) and JDM 1989 Integra (DA body)
B16A G2 - From JDM 1992-1995 Civic (EG body)
B16A G3 - From JDM 1996+ Civic (EK body)
B16B - From the JDM 1997+ Civic Type-R

B16A's close DOHC VTEC sibling
B17A
B18C
B18C 96 spec.R
B18C 98 spec.R

if you don't know don't speak you are getting egg on your face BRO
also if you use the XSi motor with a OBD0 PR3 ECU with a good flow exhaust and a MUGEN PR3 ECU "CHIP" you can squeeze 180hp i have dyno it.

Peace BRO

the xsi is the 1.6 jdm integra engine. hes not full of it he probally right about the figures too. is the xsi engine the same as swapping in the b16 though? if you don't believe him just go to www.hmotorsonline.com look thru the entire engine catalog not too many pages just look for the xsi integra swap.
ons second thought here you go
http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...USDM%20Engines
