1985 Blazer 4WD question

I just the other day purchased a used 1985 4X4 Blazer. However, with this being my first vehicle with 4WD, the whole concept confuses me a little.....If I'm driving on a normal, paved road, should I always be driving 2-wheel, or am I able to drive 4-wheel without anything bad happening to the Blazer?

Re: 1985 Blazer 4WD question

You should not drive on dry clean pavement in 4WD.You can damage the transaxle. You should use it on dirt, snow or icy roads.
