Performance chips really work?
I was lookin around on ebay and noticed that there are a buttload of performance chips that offer up to 20hp(my ass). Im pretty sure they dont give ya an extra 20 hore but i was wondering if they would give out any performance at all without messin up my fuel economy. Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Performance chips really work?
Thats how they work. By telling the computer that the engine is still cold and should be allowing more fuel into engine. More gas more power less milage.
I am looking for a chip for the computer so it only powers up on demand. But ones I found cost more that new computer. good luck |

Re: Performance chips really work?
hey new to this sight. If your jeep is still under warranty the manufacture won't cover any problems it may cause.Just take it out before you take it in for service. Saw this all the time at the ford shop I was at.

Chips are good for turbos
A chip in a jeep would make some difference. Where you see a big difference is if you have a diesel with a turbo, you can adjust the turbo and compression ratios etc. Also good with little ricer's with turbos. If you want to improve performance go with a performance exhaust system.
