Swapping bucket/jumper seats for a bench???

Hello all...thought I'd jump over from the mysporttrac.com message board for a little advice. Thinking about selling my '01 ST and downsizing a little. Considering a '93-'97 ranger xtracab, V6, 4X4 w/ atuo trans. Wondering if it is possible to swap out the bucket/jumper seats for a bench seat? I've never seen a bench in an extra cab and wonder if the mounts are the same? Reason why? I'm hoping to (safely) install a child seat in the middle. Need to be able to take myself, the Wife, wee one and two dogs.
I know it will be a tight fit, but it will only be for quick trips around town on weekends, etc... I don't see any reason I couldn't install the car seat in the middle, so long as it's an auto trans and no airbags (or disconnected) I'm sure many of you have faced this same dilemma. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!
MDB

I believe that if you get the same year model bench seat with floor brackets, you should be able to bolt it right up. I took a 91 Bronco II's bucket seats to replace my 60/40 bench buckets, and they bolted right up. I had to use my original mount brackets, but they bolted direct to the new seat.

I'd say do a little measuring before you buy a bench seat(just to make sure) and it may work out prefect.
