restart issues

got a '91 CRX, starts off relatively easily, but it you try to start it again in 10-15 minutes, it does not always fire up. Heard something about a fuel relay under the left side of the dash. Anyone know about this?

Also, here's a stupid question. The battery gauge - if it shows an acceptable reading when the car is running, but the battery drains within a day, any way to determine whether it is battery or alternator related? I am guessing if it was alternator, the car would die when running, right?

Thanks!

sounds to me like your first problem is similar to the main relay problem. For some reason alot of people have starting problems when it's either really hot or really cold, and it's because the main relay. About your second...sounds like your battery, but im not an expert at all with that kinda stuff....

Re: restart issues

thanks for all the help - crxsi.com has a great set of pics and instructions for finding and resoldering that main relay. Gonna try it this weekend.

i have an 89 accord lxi and an 89 civic hatch si -same problem ----- the plastic body on the upper paart of the injector may be leaking a little. if you cant see it, look behind the injector on the intake manifold to see if its a browninsh gold color. then its probably that injector leaking

Thanks man, appreciate the injector tip. I hope that is not it - I don't want to do that much of a tear down right now. I will know after tonight whether the main relay does the trick.
