Question Chip guard

I need some advice. I want to install the paint protection film made by 3-M and sold by Invinca-Shield on the front of my car. They sell the product as a do-it-yourself project. It runs about $300 for a 2002 330XI. It comes with a do-it-yourself kit. I don't mind spending the time. Does anybody have any experience installing this product? Did you have any problems? Would you do it again? Thanks!

I am not familiar with the 3M product, but there is another option available. Mar-Hyde makes an aeresol product called Chip Stop that is very easy to use and would be very much less expensive than $300. The last time I used it, cost was around $10 per can, I used two cans to do the front air dam and both rockers on a Maxima. You should be able to find it at any good automotive paint supply store.
