Mods for a '93 2.2

Has anyone found any good mods for a 1993 2.2L?

One that I have been thinking about is removing the tube that goes underneith the air-intake that goes nowhere... and has no holes for an intake? What does this tube do anyway?

I have been looking all over for any mods at all and I have not been able to find ANY. Please help me out, my buddy has a '91 Celica and thinks he's pimp shit because he's got a big muffler; help me waste him.

Thanks a ton.

Re: Mods for a '93 2.2

The tube is the intake resonator... all it does is give a little more resistance on the air intake and it aslo eliminates the "chugg" sound when you revv...
I did it on my '95 Cav and the engine seams to breathe a loot better....

hope this helps...
