Type S dash rattle noise

I have this rattle noise coming from under the dash. It sounds from the center of the dash, closer to the airbag cover. It used to be intermittent, then I took it to the dealership twice and the noise is constant now, they made it worst. I’ll take back next week, and they are telling me it will take 2-3 days to take the dash apart and back in again. Has anyone experience a problem like this one. I’ll try removing my glove compartment and try to find anything loose.

Thanks for your help in advance.

If you had the car for less than a month, get a new car, trade that one it. The car is too nice to have to worry about minor shit like that. The problem shouldn't have been there in the first place. Threaten the dealer if he gives u any problems with lines like, you're part of clubRSX online and automotive forums, and you'll disclose information about how they sold you a car with flaws. Also, add that you have friends that are about to purchase the RSX very soon and are looking at this dealership, but will be warned not to go because of......WELL YOU GET THE POINT

Here is my sad story, the car is only 2 months old and I had several minor issues. Here is the list, all of these issues have been present since the day I drove the car off the lot:

Passenger Headlight was scratched when the car was delivered, replaced under warranty.

Driver's side roof molding was loose and deformed at the rear, replaced under warranty.

Under Coating was over sprayed on exhaust and rear of engine, creating a burning smell, when car warmed up. This issue took 3 attempts to get rectified under dealer's expense.

Transmission issue (the 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd grinding), dealers claims that it will get better when car reaches 6-8 K kilometers, just waiting for improvement.

And the big one Dash rattle noise, the car has been at the dealership three times. The first two times they claimed they had fixed it, but the issue was present as soon as I drove off the lot. This third time they have kept the car for 3 days.

HEY THAT SOUNDS LIKE A LOT, BUT THIS ISNT MINOR: Transmission issue (the 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd grinding), dealers claims that it will get better when car reaches 6-8 K kilometers, just waiting for improvement.

that is a big thing, and that sounds like bullshit, i'm not mechanic, but i never heard anything like that from other Type-S owners. They did say there is some grindin, but with all your other problems and that, i would go with what i said. Dealers can trade you another car with equal or less miles. I wouldn't stay with what you have. If you have a problem in the beginning and you just cover it up, the problem doesn't go away, it just hybernates and thats not cool. It's an amazing car, you don't want minor shit to go wrong on top of the major stuff that will go wrong!

Re: Re: Type S dash rattle noise

With the money i spent on my RSX, i would never let any of the problems go on that long. It sounds like u need a lawyer if the dealership can't get you taken care of. Also sometimes just calling and asking for the big boss man would help, he may not know what kind of bullshit his mechanics are shoveling.
