fuel pump 97 silverado gone
Hi guys..new here..driving home the other day I suddenly lost power and I pulled over andthen my truck died. I know it must be the fuel pump. I already checked the relay. Should I get the nappa fule pump for $82 or get a gm fuel pump...what I see from searching the net is the gm units are over $200!! is that just the pump or the whole sending unit??
Thanks |

Re: fuel pump 97 silverado gone
Buy the A/C-DELCO f/p, weather you get it from a dealer or a parts store. The difference in price your seeing is the difference between the correct pump & the wrong pump. I beleave the correct unit is a module on a 97 C/K pickup, pump & sender all in one. 96 & earlier are a seperate pump & sending unit. If you can find an A/C unit for $200.00 I'd jump
at it, modules can easily cost over $400.00 for some applications. AFTERMARKET PUMPS/MODULES = TROUBLE !!! Remember to service the inline filter also. |
