Painting spoilers

another complex parts which consist of 2 or more details
I have no idea which do first:
If I glue it together and sand it well it looks better (no joint lines)
but how to paint inside the spoiler then?
If they painted separately and then glued together the joint remains

Usually sprayed in separate pieces, and then I fill the gap with krystal Klear, and hen wipe away the excess with a wet cloth. It fills the seam lovely and makes it look smooth!

How do you make joint invisible? As i understood Krystal clear is just kind of transparent glue, isn't it?

I use a paste form putty to fill the gaps, then sand prime, then paint, but painting is much more difficult when the spoiler is added on already sometimes,

what I also tried is put the spoiler on without glue to see how much gap there is, then cover trunk of the model where the spoiler to be mounted with some scotch tape, or something that has a smooth non-stick surface.. then apply some paste form putty on the spoiler's mounting spots.. push the spoiler down on the spot where it mounts.. the putty will get squished into the gap's thickness, then when it drys, you can sand off the stuff that was squished out.. leaving a filler for the gap..

dont' know if you guys understand what i said, but that's what i do for some spoilers

Dunno! Just worked really well on my R33 Skyline!
I guess because it is lacquered, and the glue sets clear, looking like a continuation of the lacquer!
