Angry Help Me Plzzz !!!

hi there...
i just bought a 1995 eclipse GSX with 80000 miles... pretty much everything in it is stock... i really new to turbo and i dunno anything about it...now here is the problem with the car:-

1) white smoke comes out of the muffler and it has a strong smell... why is that and what am i supposed to do to correct it???

2) i bought a turbo timer and now i am looking for a turbo boost controller... i want to know which one is better the manual boost controller or the automatic digital boost controller and why is that??

From 1000AAQ, from an October 10, 1998 post by David Gawlowski:

"[This is] ...caused by water evaporating in the exhaust stream. Occasional puffs [are] usually from condensation in the exhaust pipes (especially in humid areas) or a water balloon up your stove-pipe. Continual white smoke [is usually due to] a warped head/head gasket and coolant entering your combustion chambers. If you're really unlucky, might be from a cracked head."

Both manual and digital boost controllers do the same thing, and the difference is that the digital one uses a solenoid to, in effect change boost pressure, where the manual one is.. well, manual. I believe all digital ones have cockpit accessibility, and manual ones do not, without another part which can add it.

this is an attempt to explain what i know, i wont be surprised when someone corrects/improves the explanation screw vs buttons

I'd guess it's on because you are low on coolant, from it leaking into the head... check that out.

That means your low on coolant. Low coolant, plus white smoke, equalls your buring the coolant somehow.

Bad head gasket is almost always the cause. Not the end of the world, butit can be costly if you dont do your own work. A leak down test may show where the problem is, unless it only leaks when boost lifts the head.

I already said the coolant light is on because its low, and its low because your burning it. A headgasket replacement should include a full timing belt job.

Re: Help Me Plzzz !!!

get your coolant problem checked out before you even think about doing anything else...

and cockpit controlability is being able to raise or lower your boost via electronic boost controller like GReddy profec b spec 2, from your cockpit. manual BC is all under your hood. and get a boost gauge first, the one in the dash just goes up and down, and is in no way anything close to a boost gauge.
