JL 8" sub - what amp to use...?

I just got an 8" JL sub (sounds weak huh) from my friend. I have an //////\lpine CDM 7857 cd player and rear Bostons. I guess that the radio is good for the amperage of the 4 speakers in the car, but what amp can I use for the Sub....?

I was told at Godfather - Alpine mdr-t220 ~amp - just checking other options before i make this little investment for instilation and stuff. - or if I can really just do it myself.........
